Job Description
WHAT DOES A MEDICAL WRITER/STRATEGIST DO?
The Medical Writer demonstrates critical thinking and confidence while crafting compelling scientific stories. This individual has the courage to take ownership and produces quality deliverables over multiple assignments, often concurrently. As a core team member of a premier Medical Communications account, the medical writer collaborates with internal teams, clients, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to create engaging content for healthcare professionals (HCPs). This unique role will be part of the Medical Strategy department at Eversana Intouch, where there are boundless opportunities for personal growth and career development.
With direct oversight of the Medical lead, the medical writer will:
- Develop promotional and disease state medical content for HCP audiences across multiple channels (omnichannel) including speaker bureau, congress, social media, print/digital, and more
- Develop a deep understanding of the HCP audience, therapeutic area, brand strategy, and client’s business objectives; help educate internal team members on these areas
- Prepare for and participate in Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) meetings to review promotional materials
- Confidently and credibly present information and engage in dialogues with internal teams, clients, and KOLs
- Support meetings with KOLs to co-create medical content
- Attend national congresses, produce summary reports, and support client activities
- Demonstrate initiative and energy in pursuing assignments and collaboration
- Meet deadlines and take pride in producing accurate work
- Bring an open, curious, and problem-solving attitude
Qualifications
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Advanced degree required (MD, PharmD, or PhD)
- 1-3 years as a medical writer or associate medical writer, preferably at a Medical Communications agency; pharmaceutical industry or AOR promotional marketing agency experience also welcomed
- Superb verbal and written communication skills, including expertise with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience with the MLR process and Veeva Vault
- Expertise with medical annotations and ensuring factual accuracy of content
- Understanding of FDA regulations on pharmaceutical promotions to HCPs and patients
- Growth-oriented mindset, eager to learn, welcoming of constructive feedback

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $76,000 to $130,000 and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
