Job Description

The Business Development Team: 

Our EVERSANA Intouch Business Development department (officially known as Strategic Development) is a team of big-picture thinkers, opportunity seekers, multitaskers, and orchestrators of sales prospecting, epic proposals, and pitches. Our goal is simple: secure business for EVERSANA Intouch. How we get there isn’t always so simple. 

The Business Development Senior Manager partners closely with key leadership positions to deliver best-in-class solutions to help solve our clients’ business challenges and drive growth for our agency. The Senior Manager is accountable for understanding the agency’s values and position, crafting content and deliverables that directly address the client ask, and help to continue our network narrative.   

Responsibilities: 

This role is responsible for the quality and consistency of proposal writing, content creation, BD reporting, and integrated storytelling across our network. This role builds upon strong writing skills, in addition to critical and strategic thinking abilities. This role will also be responsible for understanding the changing industry and the role our agency plays within the marketplace.   

 
The Senior Manager will be expected to work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, build trust from teams, and keep a proactive, detailed lens on all work. Internal team initiatives will involve supporting projects across various agency needs, helping us elevate and scale our work. In this role, the Business Development Senior Manager will gain confidence in building relationships, shaping best-in-class proposals, and learning leadership skills as on owner to small projects.

Details: 

  • Reports to the Director, Strategic Development; works directly with a number of Strategic Development team members across our various offices 
  • Some travel likely (occasionally on short notice) 
  • Sometimes, evening and weekend work — but always with consideration of your life outside of work. While we thrive being busy, we have balance in our lives! 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education plus professional experience required 
  • 5-7 years in the healthcare marketing industry with business development experience  
  • VERY high level of interpersonal and communication skills — both verbal and written  
  • Proposal writing and content creation experience 
  • Inherent critical and strategic thinking 
  • Strong people skills and high emotional IQ 
  • Self-motivated and proactive 
  • High attention to detail with lean, mean organizational ways; keen on quality and keeping work in tip-top shape 
  • Action driven — sense of urgency is a really big deal 
  • Good references — being highly recommended is a very good thing 
  • PowerPoint experience is a must. An eye for design is preferred. 
  • Previous experience in Salesforce and/or content management systems is a bonus 
  • Ability to work independently with many different types of titles and departments internally while also bringing a comfort with client-facing communication 
  • Partnership: ability to work with cross-functional teams; proven relationship building skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks; provide direction to others when appropriate; manage up, down, and sideways 
  • Demonstrated understanding of people and how to engage/motivate teams, leading with empathy and trust 
  • Deep familiarity with BD assets, pitches, and process; ability to apply a critical thinking lens
