THE POSITION:

The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications is a high-visibility position within the Marketing and Corporate Communications team and plays a critical role in leading significant internal communications programs across the growing, global company, with a primary focus on executive communications, change communications, and reputation management.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, strategic and analytical thinker that can take complex programs and deliver clear, concise messages to diverse audience segments. This role is seen as a partner to our executive leadership team, bringing a balance of innovative strategy with best-in-class communications execution. This leader will have great attention to detail and embrace the projects that require both leadership and hands-on execution with the ability to lead in a fast-moving, matrix environment.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of EVERSANA’s internal communication channels including the company’s Intranet, developing high-quality, engagement content to inform and inspire employees about key initiatives.
  • Work directly with multiple Division- and Service-Line leadership teams to understand business operations and develop employee engagement programs and events to support annual performance
  • Lead the management of employee and department events (virtual town hall-like meetings), in partnership with senior business leaders, to cascade and reinforce key company initiatives to all employees.
  • Manage the company’s internal editorial calendar, ensuring alignment with external initiatives and consistent messaging.
  • Lead the creation, development, and measurement of employee campaigns to highlight the work of company employees
  • Partner with key shared services and internal department teams to understand, inform and influence employees throughout the global organization.
  • Be a driver in change communication initiatives across the organization, working closely with key stakeholders to implement programs that help better connect employee populations.
  • Measure and track all internal communication programs to demonstrate impact and reach of the team’s efforts.
  • Lead the management of internal software supporting visual communication platforms at key company locations.
  • Ensure work is accomplished effectively by managing employee performance, work processes and other resources

  • Ensuring the highest level of quality across all internal communication programs.
  • Ensuring team members have clarity on their roles and responsibilities and this leader will hold them accountable for achieving these efforts.
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
  • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline, and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.

EXPECTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed
  • 40 Hours per week

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Strong, proven corporate communication professional with experience leading a team and overall programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Communications, Marketing, Organizational Communication or Public Relations preferred
  • 7-10+ years of experience in a corporate communication role at a multi-site environment preferred.
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication, including fluency in Microsoft programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or other healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Previously having led change communications programs across large and emerging companies.
  • Experience working in SharePoint intranet programs and management of internal communications software
  • Experience across external and brand reputation communication also is a plus.

 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.
