Job Description

THE POSITION:  
The primary focus of this position is to provide HR transactional support in both the Human Capital Management System (currently UKG/UHR) and other ancillary systems in support of the HR function for the Channel Business Unit, primarily centered in Memphis.

NOTE: On-location presence required in Memphis-area office. Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Responsible for all HCMS transactions including data integrity, reporting and follow up required on transactional approvals.
  • Responsible for providing daily reports for time punches that need to be either edited or added to ensure payroll runs occur without exceptions
  • Responsible for providing first-line benefit information including benefit enrollment into UHR
  • Responsible to track all safety incidents and/or illnesses in compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Responsible to ensure appropriate translations skills to those employees who do not have English as a first language
  • All other duties as assigned; additional duties will be assigned as this position matures.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Travel This position will require minimal travel between our distribution centers on Mendenhall and Challenge Drive.  This is a short drive that can be made in support of our employees in all buildings.
  • Hours 40 hours per week (8 hours per day Monday-Friday); this position will require some overtime hours and this will require some off-shift work to support our employees on both 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Education Bachelor’s degree required; HR or related discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Experience and/or Training 1 year of demonstrated experience in a junior or entry-level HR role demonstrating required skills.
  • Licenses/Certificates None are required.
  • Technology/Equipment HCMS experience required, UKG preferred.  In addition, basic to intermediate skills required in MS Word and Excel.
  • Language Fluency in both Spanish and English strongly preferred.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and/or Training 2+ years in a relevant position.
  • Licenses/Certificates None are required.
  • Technology/Equipment No preference, requirement listed above.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands. In addition, this position will require daily walks in the distribution centers for a multitude of reasons.
