Job Description

What does a Senior Project Manager do?

The Senior Project Manager (PM) is the subject matter expert, driving and owning the development of the tactical plan required to execute a defined scope of work and deliverables. This role is pivotal in the organization for delivery processes and standards. The Senior PM is primarily accountable for the project schedule, adherence to scope through team stand-up meetings and financial reporting, status reporting and ongoing regular communication with the CET and the delivery team at large. 

Qualifications

  • Lead project teams and facilitate adoption of B2D best practices and processes
  • Assist the wider team with their opportunities contributing to proposal/scope development
  • Develop project plans utilizing MS Project
  • Author and communicate project charter
  • Central Project Point of Contact for Deliver POD's
  • Work Intake and Triage
  • Lead project kickoffs and status meetings
  • Lead project review meetings
  • Run daily stand-up meetings utilizing Azure DevOps and mitigate blockers with the team
  • Project burn analysis
  • Inform team of portfolio forecast plan
  • Project change impact analysis
  • Delivery and management of technical and strategic projects
  • Responsible for successfully leading on-time and on-budget projects
  • Assist the Client Engagement Team with the definition of project scope, deliverables, and milestones for project implementation
  • Identify project staff needs and work with resource managers to ensure accuracy and updates of resource plans
  • Coordinate the estimation process and provide project budget and staff plan parameters
  • Lead daily project stand-ups and ensure that project delivery is tracking on-time (previous experience with Azure DevOps and/or Jira)
  • Collaborate with SME teams to define project activity and key deliverables to develop project schedule and author project charter
  • Monitor project scope and critical path, identify potential bottlenecks, and work with Project Coordinator to make schedule adjustments
  • Work with project team to identify project risk, plan for risk response and mitigation, and proactively monitor project risks and resolutions - escalate issues to project sponsor with proactivity
  • Resolve conflicts, including scope, schedule, resource, budget, quality, and communication
  • Work Intake and triage
  • Coordinate with QA/QC for all testing
  • Ensure compliance to process
