• Implement and manage data backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime.

• Enforce security best practices for storage systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

• Develop and manage scripts to automate and streamline tasks within the storage team’s perimeter.

• Perform regular software and firmware upgrades for storage systems, ensuring the latest features and security patches are implemented.

• Participate in incident management, providing root-cause analysis and applying lessons learned to improve storage processes and procedures.

• Maintain thorough and detailed documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Provide knowledge transfer to other team members to ensure skill sharing and continuity of expertise.

• Lead and manage storage-related projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and align with business goals.

• Participate in the on-call rota for storage and backup teams, ensuring support availability when required.

• Proven expertise in NetApp ONTAP NAS storage administration, including troubleshooting and optimization.

• Strong experience in backup and storage solutions, with a focus on high-availability configurations.

• 3rd level expertise in object storage technologies, with experience in resolving complex storage issues.

• Solid understanding of data protection, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python) for process improvement and task automation.

• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, with experience in storage-related troubleshooting.
