Responsibilities Include:
• As a MicroStrategy Developer, participate in MicroStrategy application design and development activities.
• Provide proactive Production support for MicroStrategy and other BI/Analytics applications by resolution of issues in a timely manner.
• Develop reports and Dashboards to monitor BI applications providing insight on usage patterns and recommend application/system improvements.
• Contribute and Participate in MicroStrategy design and code reviews
• Model or architect MicroStrategy Schema Objects for the BI applications.
• Work with other technology teams to migrate MicroStrategy solutions to higher environments
• Adhere to Client technology solution delivery methodology and follow/adapt to industry best practices
• Identify risks/issues and work with senior members of the team and managers on a risk mitigation plan.
• Work with software vendors to open defects, log issues and seek resolutions and/or patches.
• Support MicroStrategy applications in Production by providing Level 3 support, which includes provisioning and implementation of fixes to production defects and making light enhancements.
• Evaluate incidents/defects, investigate, identify root cause and come up with solutions to address the same.
• Work with software vendors to open defects, log issues and seek resolutions and/or patches.
• Work with other Technology Services teams and participate/contribute during Infrastructure and/or software upgrades.
• Interact with business teams and other stakeholders to understand and recommend BI solutions to meet diverse, complex business needs.
• Work on assignments and action items. Provide periodic updates to managers.
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT related experience
• Experienced Agile team member using a Scrum methodology
• Minimum 3 years of current and hands-on experience with the MicroStrategy tool and demonstrated expertise with complex and high volume Datamarts with Star Schema and Type 2 dimensions.
• Minimum 3 years of current and hands-on experience in developing interactive dashboards
• Demonstrated experience delivering solutions to stringent SLAs for report performance
• Thorough knowledge of all capabilities of the MicroStrategy Suite including the following – Dimensional Modeling, Architect, Developer, Enterprise Manager, Cube Advisor, Cube creation/management/automation, Integrity Manager, Object Manager, Distribution Services, Transactional services, Narrowcast, Visual Insight, Mobile.
• Experience with MicroStrategy SDK a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of current and hands-on experience with SQL and Relational databases
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience working with dedicated and matrixed resources
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and Sr. management on both the business and IT sides.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience as a MicroStrategy consultant
• MicroStrategy Certified Developer
• Understanding of the secondary mortgage industry.
• Experience with Agile development
