THE ROLE

Our client is a cutting-edge start-up with a focus on Intelligent Voice Automation (IVA/IVR) services and on a rapid growth trajectory. Their disruptive, yet well-proven technology, strong customer base, and financial strength, form a solid foundation for long-term growth. As such, they are seeking a smart, articulate, ambitious, and hands-on Marketing leader with a proven track record for developing product and service content to drive growth. 

As the Senior Marketing Manager, Campaigns and Customer Communications, you will be responsible for establishing strategic marketing programs that span the entire Customer Lifecycle. You will develop innovative campaigns to increase the volume of qualified leads, nurture prospects, and successfully convert to next-step selling stages. You will also work across teams to design and implement to-customer campaigns that increase retention, upsell, and referrals. As point for all customer communications, you will manage the monthly calendar and ensure customers have a seamless and positive experience interacting with the organization. 

This position reports directly to the SVP of Sales and entails full responsibility for development of campaign content and communications. In addition, you will collaborate and work extensively with sales and their customer operations teams. The candidate must have significant experience and demonstrated success in content development and execution in a complex, high-value, consultative B2B organization. Experience in the call center industry is a plus. Experience with webinars, persona-based messaging, “Challenger Sale” model, website content development, and email campaigns is key. 

As a Marketing manager, you will work closely with our client’s sales team to determine proper messaging and placement, develop and execution of campaigns, and overall product messaging for the purpose of driving leads. You will need to thrive in a small, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, passion for technology, and entrepreneurial drive. They are looking for someone with the skills and experience to confidently join their team while possessing the creativity to think about their product and market in new ways. 

Our client’s solution is based on over 10 years of artificial intelligence research and development and is well positioned to fill the significant void between current IVR technology and human call center agents. It is truly a unique, one-of-a-kind solution in an otherwise well-defined market space.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set overall campaign objectives and align programs within the Customer Lifecycle framework (demand, trial, growth, nurture, retention, renewal and advocacy)
  • Manage all campaign logistics including establishing goals, delivering creative guidance, defining segmentation, scheduling, and tracking performance metrics
  • Supervise campaigns and customer marketing testing calendar to ensure constant test-and-learn optimization
  • Own customer success funnel metrics including marketing qualified leads (MQLs) and ROI from advocacy programs
  • Align with the Customer Operations organization to support initiatives to grow and expand existing accounts through cross-sell and upsell opportunities
  • Communicate across the organization to keep all teams apprised of existing and future campaigns
  • Ensure consistency and best practices are applied and adopted across campaigns
  • Participate on cross-functional projects to understand and improve customer experience, retention and key moments of truth across the customer journey

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience setting strategy for customer development, identifying growth and retention initiatives, and leading advocacy and referral programs
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated thought leadership related to current and next generation campaign best practices
  • Experience in working with CRM (Salesforce) and Marketing Automation Software/MAS
  • Expertise executing innovative and results-focused programs and campaigns, as well as having strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to execute quickly and with precision in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated analytical ability, specifically around program measurement and ROI
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and lead cross-functional teams
  • Unwavering passion, commitment, and persistence to the business, customers and technology

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years B2B technology marketing experience
  • Strong focus on Demand Generation and Persona-Based Messaging
  • Demonstrated success at leading SaaS companies
  • Strong record of steady career progression
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Similar
  • MBA or another advanced degree a plus but not required
