Job Description
Job Title— Sybase Developer
Location— NYC, NY
Contract/Full Time
Job Description:-
· Experience working as a Sybase Database Developer on ASE and or MS SQL
· Must have ETL Informatica PowerCenter development experience or other ETL tools such as data stage, Ab Initio, etc.
· Experience creating Database objects (Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers etc)
· Experience with Sybase Transact SQL programming and proficient in the following areas:
o Stored Procedures, Cursors, Triggers, Transactions, Batch programming
o Experience with performance tuning of stored procedures /triggers
o Very good understanding of Query plans.
o Should be able to fine tune queries.
o Solid experience with Sybase/SQL Server Client utilities such as isql, bcp, etc.
· Unix Shell scripting and experience scheduling tools such as control-m, autosys, etc
· Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques
Nice to have:
· Database design concepts for OLTP as well as DW applications.
· Experience with business intelligence tools is a plus
Non-Technical Requirements
· In-depth understanding and prior work experience in finance industry is a plus.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders
· Must be a team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
· Must be able to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
