Overview of Role:

Individual should be able to design, develop and support application solutions with focus primarily on Hadoop for a Banking Environment. Experience working on Oracle Data warehouse would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Strong conceptual understanding of the context and business requirements.
• Should be able to understand the business needs, High Level design and produce Low level design documents, implement code in accordance with the best practices.
• Ability to perform data quality checks in a methodical manner to understand how to accurately utilize client data.
• Expert level programming skills using Hadoop to meet the challenges of advanced data manipulation, complicated programming logic, and large data volumes is required.
• Ability to communicate results and methodology with the project team and clients.
• Should be able to work in offshore/onshore model. 
• Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a banking environment.
• Provides solutions for data driven applications involving large and complex data and providing reconciliation and test cases.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong analytical skills.
• Should have > 5 yrs of exp.
  
• Sound knowledge in Unix/Linux, Core Java, J2EE and SQL
  
• Good Communication.
  
• Should be flexible.

Secondary skills

• Knowledge on HBase, Yarn architecture
• Knowledge on working with Oracle Data warehouse would be an added advantage.
  
• Experience interacting with business users, understanding requirements and provide quick solution.
  
• Must have excellent exposure on project documentation.
  
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changes

Required Skills 

• Strong experience in Hadoop – HIVE, Pig, Oozie, Sqoop, and Map Reduce.

Desired Skills

Hadoop/Big Data Certifications.

Financial Domain Knowledge.

Experience Required: 5-7 years
