Job Title: DB2 Z/Os Support

Job Description:

• Experience supporting large (multi-terabyte) database and mission critical, high throughput applications in a data sharing tiered architecture.
• Working experience with Database utilities and OEM database maintenance utilities suite
• Working experience on DB2 security and administering database entitlements is required and conceptual knowledge of ITIL, SOX, and BASL etc is desirable.
• Proficiency in the use of Object Management and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of REXX and DB2Connect
• Working knowledge of DB2 C and SQL stored procedures
• Effective utilization and monitoring of DB2 storage and experience in capacity planning.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite for management reporting purposes is desirable.
• Working knowledge of application development/debugging tools will be an added plus.

Role and responsibility:

• DB2 Operations provides L1 and L2 support services for DB2 on z/OS including processing developers’ requests for database maintenance and migrations, some application performance troubleshooting and scheduled database maintenance.
• Provide hotline coverage and off hour production support, including weekends
