Job Description

As an aggregator, Energy Pool pilots and optimizes the electricity consumption of industrial and tertiary sector clients from its operations center. Depending on the needs of the electrical system and market opportunities, Energy Pool asks its clients to reduce their consumption (demand response) or conversely encourages them to consume at the right time (load shifting). 

We are looking for our Operations Engineer for our operations center.

Organized, rigorous, autonomous, you will be responsible, with the active support of the Corporate teams located in France, for: 

  • Ensuring the operational functioning of the electricity consumption modulation activity within the framework of operations. 

  • Integrated into the real-time operations team, you will be responsible for: 

    • Monitoring the development of DSM projects in Saudi Arabia to stay up to date. 

    • Planning demand response resources based on the availability of industrial customers to fulfill commitments to clients. 

    • Submitting relevant bids or executing trades on these markets based on commitments. 

    • Carrying out, monitoring, controlling and valuing the operations related to these bids and trades. 

In a second phase, once all operational activities have been mastered, the Operations Engineer will leave real-time operations to: 

  • Supervise the smooth running of operations. 

  • Oversee the smooth running of operations. 

  • Provide support to the real-time team. 

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of the operating process. 

  • Contribute to the deployment and improvement of information systems. 

  • Participate in the implementation and integration of new flexibility projects. 

Qualifications

The indispensable:

  • You hold a Master's degree in Engineering, with credentials validated by the Saudi Ministry of Education or relevant Saudi authorities. 
  • You are a motivated young graduate or with 3 years' experience within the energy sector.
  • Native in Arabic and proficient in English languages. French speaking is a plus
  • You demonstrate excellent analytical, synthesis and pedagogical skills. 
  • You have the ability to manage stress and remain rigorous in high-pressure situations and to adapt to a constantly evolving profession. 

  • You manage the office tools and computer use. 

  • Last but not least, you have the ability to communicate effectively by email and phone with various clients.
