Job Description

Within a rapidly growing group, in a sector of activity with an environmental mission that encourages talent, Energy Pool is recruiting a local, permanent contract for a Bid manager to ensure the development of the company.

The Bid manager is responsible for the assembly of a bid team with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to prepare a winning bid to the customer. She/He works with virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery and has a full ownership of the end-to-end bid process.

Also, the Bid Manager is responsible for the implementation of all necessary bid procedures, governance and processes.

With the help of the Corporate teams, the main tasks are:

  • Work with relevant function groups to manage the bid qualification (bid – no bid) process for new opportunities. Ensure that the customer requirements are clearly identified and validated by the teams. Obtain costing from the Engineering, Procurement and other relevant functions.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
  • Ensures that the bid is executed in accordance with company procedures.
  • Tracks risk, risk impact and mitigation plans throughout the bid process
  • Organizes the technical, commercial and programmatic teams to write the proposal in line with the customer instructions or in a way that is clear, concise and addresses all critical aspects of the offer - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary, commercial section, programmatic and technical sections)

Qualifications

The indispensable:

  • You come from an engineering or business school with a strong appetite for technical/complex and commercial subjects

  • You are familiar with the energy sector

  • You have at least 5-10 years of experience in the tendering field

  • You are bilingual in French and English and you speak an other European language.

And ideally:

  • You are committed to learn and take required courses – government contracts, government procurement systems, and requirements.
  • You know the major energy players as well as the stakeholders (political, regulatory, etc.).
  • Ability to collaborate with others to meet tight deadlines.
  • Performs all duties in complete compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Mobility: Travels will be frequent.
