JOB SUMMARY:

This is your chance to join an exciting team that puts culture and people first. The EMS Unlimited Education and Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of clinical care, Quality Assurance (QA) and training for the organization. In this role, the employee will have excellent attention to detail with a strong ability to leverage technology to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, a high degree of clinical knowledge and professionalism with a strong desire to serve others and give company clinicians the tools needed to achieve excellence. The employee will oversee clinical services provided by EMS Unlimited monitor and revise protocols, supervise all clinical practices of all agency healthcare providers and design, implement and provide company-wide training. In addition, all clinical and operational practices of the company will be monitored in order to ensure all activities are compliant with local, state and federal rules and regulations. 

 

COMPENSATION:

Starting at $85,000 per year

  • Overtime is paid as required by law
  • Bonuses available based on net company performance

SCHEDULE & Place of work:

This role will work various hours with a primary office location in Topeka, KS. Travel to other company locations will be required on a monthly basis. This could include but is not limited to additional geographies within the state of Kansas, Colorado, Arizona and others. As a salaried position, work hours and weekly schedules can be flexible to balance work and personal life with operational and personal needs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be a culture champion driven by the success of their peers.
  • Travel will be required 
  • Identify training needs, design and develop training programs and provide training using applicable EMS training methods. 
  • Oversee and manage the Quality Assurance Program
  • Revise and be responsible for treatment protocols
  • Monitor all aspects of company operations and business practices to ensure all are in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations.

Additional duties:

  • Quarterly in person training with staff
  • Quarterly chart review with staff and medical directors
  • Review and update all protocols starting with transports, then adding critical protocols
  • New hire orientation
  • Technical interviews
  • Patient care chart reviews 
  • Attend company and local EMS leadership meetings
  • Collateral duties will include: 
    • Privacy Officer
    • Controlled Substance Officer
    • Compliance Officer
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Paramedic license
  • 5 years of Paramedic experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience in leadership or EMS clinical oversight
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid CPR, ACLS, PALS
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
  • MS Office suite
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
