Job Description
EMCO Fire Protection is seeking an entrepreneurial leader to join our team as Profit Centre Manager in Victoria, BC.
As the Profit Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the business, including sales growth, profitability, teammate development, customer relationships, and market expansion. You will lead an established team and business while identifying opportunities to strengthen our market position and drive long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, coach, and lead a high-performing team of teammates
- Create an engaging culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent
- Achieve sales, gross profit, and profit-sharing objectives through effective business leadership
- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow market share and expand the business
- Establish performance expectations and hold teammates accountable for results
- Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve sales, profitability, productivity, and return on investment
- Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and industry partners
- Represent EMCO Fire Protection within the local business community, trade associations, and industry organizations
- Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and strategic growth initiatives
- Ensure the Profit Centre consistently exceeds customer service expectations
- Take ownership of purchasing strategies, inventory management, and marketing initiatives
- Safeguard and effectively manage all Profit Centre assets, including inventory, receivables, facilities, equipment, and vehicles
- Foster a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards and regulations
- Develop future leaders and build long-term bench strength within the organization
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by the Regional Manager or President

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business, commerce, management, engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred
- Proven leadership experience with responsibility for business performance, team development, and customer relationships
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing teammates
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial results, identify opportunities, and make sound business decisions
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of taking initiative, driving growth, and delivering results
- Ability to think independently, solve problems, and operate effectively in a decentralized environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers, teammates, vendors, and industry partners
- High degree of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
- Competitive, goal-oriented, and motivated by continuous improvement
- Ability to create an engaging and positive culture where teammates are inspired to do their best work
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driver's abstract
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new business systems and technologies
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading a business unit, branch, profit centre, or operational team
- Experience in wholesale distribution, construction, fire protection, building materials, industrial supply, mechanical systems, or related industries
- Knowledge of financial management, inventory management, purchasing, and business planning
- Experience building customer relationships and developing new business opportunities
- Knowledge of the local construction and fire protection markets
- Previous experience with fire protection products and systems is considered an asset

Additional Information
Salary Range - $75,000 + Profit Share
