The Driver loads trucks, makes deliveries and pickups at customer and vendor locations. They must work safely following all laws and rules at all times. Drivers are friendly, observant and are able to determine customer needs and communicate that information back to the Profit Centre Manager or Warehouse Supervisor. Driver’s also help with warehouse duties including shipping/receiving material and warehouse operations. A minimum DZ license is required. The driving role does consist of two day trips weekly to the Kirkland Lake area and one over night trip weekly to Hearst.

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Possess a valid DZ driver’s license
• A clean driver’s abstract that demonstrates good driving skills in compliance with company policy
• 3+ Years experience driving a truck and making deliveries
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing driving motor vehicles and commercial vehicles subject to Provincial Ministry of Transportation regulations
• Understanding of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act
• Ability to safely operate a delivery vehicle
• Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
• Able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, or emergency situations
• Ability to learn and operate material handling equipment

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing or building products sold at the Profit Centre
