Job Summary

IT support officer will be  responsible for the smooth running of computer systems, routers, switches, internet and ensure users get maximum benefits from them.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Setting up new user accounts, and profiles and dealing with password issues.
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  • Repairing and replacing faulty equipment as necessary.
  • Maintaining procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization.
  • Support the implementation of new solutions or applications.
  • Performing preventive maintenance duties on items of IT hardware, including cleaning...


 

Qualifications

  • BSc in Computer Science/Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ cognate experience
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of computer networking, LAN, WLAN installation, configuration, troubleshooting.
  • Good interpersonal skills, should be able to interact with all staff across all level and cadre
  • Creative, open to new ideas and ability to multi-task effectively
  • High level of attention to detail and well-organized
  • Quick learning ability and apt problem-solving skills
