Job Description
- Responsible for reviewing the material requirements received from the site through indent or MRP (Material Requirement Plan) and seeking clarifications (if any) from the site regarding items/goods & their specifications in order to procure from vendors.
- Responsible for reviewing the offers thoroughly as per required specifications of items/goods being purchased.
- Responsible for negotiation with suppliers on rates as well as related terms & conditions (such as delivery period, mode of payment etc.) to add value and secure interest of the Company.
- Prepare comparative statement (CS) based on the quotations received from qualified vendors, as per standard procedure.
- Responsible for placing the order to the selected vendor.
- Responsible for the maintenance and development of the database of qualified Vendors.
- Responsible for the pre-qualification and addition of new Vendors to keep the vendors' database enriched for multiple options for the company.
- Responsible for strong & regular follow-up with vendors to get the timely & safely delivery of materials/goods/items on project sites.
- Provide safety data sheets along with consignment and ensure that all precautionary measures are followed so that it can be delivered on the project site(s) safely.
- Responsible for the preparation and regular updation of procurement status and its distribution among concerned functionaries/authorities.
- Weekly updating & maintaining outstanding payments' status report to share with concerned functionaries at the project site(s) as well as in Head Office and follow-up with Finance department for timely payments.
Qualifications
A suitable candidate should be a Graduate Engineer having specialization in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, he should have the following:
- At least 05 years' relevant experience in MEP Sector in Saudi Arabia.
- very good understanding of procurement & subcontracting process from start to end.
- very good communication skills in Arabic as well as in English.
- exceptional negotiation skills.
- well-practiced relationship building skills.
- good grip on MS Office tools
- working knowledge of ERP
- transferable residence (i.e. iqama)
