Job Description

The Company is a leader in environmental sustainability programs and waste management solutions. We are currently seeking an experienced well-rounded environmental or chemical representative in the Chicago area that excels in sales. Duties include working closely with existing customers, prospecting and calling on selected new accounts and territory development.

The chosen candidate will be seasoned, self-motivated and a team player with a proven track record in environmental, chemical or related industries. The selected candidate will have comprehensive and technical knowledge in the areas of sustainability initiatives, recycling programs, chemical and waste management methodologies and strong knowledge of RCRA and DOT programs. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain and strengthen current customer relationships
  • Develop / implement business plan for assigned territory to increase market share and achieve quarterly/yearly revenue growth targets
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective customers
  • Forecasting / tracking territory performance
  • Collaborate with internal departments to achieve growth targets
  • Provide trustworthy after-sales support internally and with customers

Qualifications

  • Must be located in Minnesota
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in Environmental, chemical or related technical sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or a similar field
  • Must possess good communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, great drive and motivation
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close sales
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Technical skills to create proposals and find solutions to meet customer needs
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial accounts
  • Comprehensive knowledge of company services and their application to customer requirements and competitive markets
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations preferred
  • Certifications a plus (CHMM, CEP, CSP, Etc.)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Proficient in CRM application

Additional Information

Base Salary - USD $50,000 to $80,000
