  • Part-time (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9-4) based at Golden Wattle House in Healesville - Job share will be considered for the right candidates!
  • $34 - $38.67ph + Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550    

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to be part of our Social Activity Group, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

In this role, you’ll work closely with older people in a vibrant, supported social setting, helping them achieve their personal goals and stay connected to their communities. From engaging in stimulating activities that challenge their minds, to sharing heartwarming stories in group settings, you’ll be at the heart of their journey to independence and well-being.

What You’ll Do:

  • Empower Older Adults: Collaborate with clients in the Social Activity Group to help them achieve their goals, live independently, and make decisions that enhance their lives.
  • Shape the Experience: Actively encourage and support clients to participate in planning and feedback sessions, ensuring that activities reflect their preferences and needs.
  • Engage and Inspire: Lead exciting outings and creative activities, whether it’s a fun-filled group adventure or a relaxing day at our centre, all designed to enrich their minds and strengthen connections.
  • Drive with Purpose: Take the wheel of a 12-seater bus, helping clients get to their activities safely and assisting them on and off the vehicle with care.

Who we’re looking for
If you have experience working as a Support Worker, are qualified with a Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support/Community (Aged), and enjoy variety in your day, you might be exactly the person we're looking for!

  • Experience working with older adults.
  • A proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • The ability to follow and implement individual service plans, healthcare, and positive behaviour support plans.
  • A desire to use your skills and experience creating fun and interesting activities that support older adults to engage more consistently with their community and peers.
  • A positive and energetic approach to engaging with your team and clients.
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to drive a 12 seater bus.

Qualifications

  • Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support/Community (Aged)
