Job Description
- Full-time (1.0 FTE), Max-Term ending February 2027
- Based at Kingston on the lands of the Ngunnawal People, with flexible working conditions on offer
- $40.49 per hour + 12% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550

The Early Childhood Approach team works alongside families of young children with disability or developmental delay, helping them navigate the NDIS and access the supports they need. Together, we focus on building confidence, strengthening capability, and creating meaningful outcomes for children and their families.
Your role, your impact
In this role, you’ll walk alongside families as they navigate their child’s early years, providing guidance, clarity and practical support. You’ll help families build understanding of the NDIS, connect with services, and feel confident in making decisions that support their child’s development.
You will:
- Build relationships – Develop strong, trusting connections with families, service providers and community organisations
- Guide NDIS plans – Support families to understand and implement their child’s NDIS plan effectively
- Monitor outcomes – Conduct regular check-ins to review progress and outcomes against goals
- Facilitate reassessments – Lead plan reassessments via face-to-face or telehealth conversations
- Support goal setting – Co-create goals aligned to family priorities and aspirations
- Provide clear communication – Translate complex information into accessible, easy-to-understand guidance
- Connect services – Link families with community and mainstream supports tailored to their needs
- Manage documentation – Maintain accurate records, case notes and compliance requirements
- Navigate conversations – Manage sensitive discussions with empathy and professionalism
- Balance priorities – Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
Who we’re looking for
- Relevant experience – Experience in early childhood education and care, administration, or customer experience
- Demonstrated experience – Supporting families, customers or communities in a service-focused environment
- Early childhood understanding – Knowledge of child development or family support approaches
- NDIS knowledge – Understanding of the NDIS or willingness to build capability
- Communication skills – Ability to explain complex information clearly and respectfully
- Relationship building – Ability to build trust with families from diverse backgrounds
- Organisation skills – Strong time management and attention to detail
- Digital confidence – Comfortable using systems, databases and online platforms
- Adaptability – Able to manage changing priorities and workload demands

- Industry knowledge – Understanding of the health or not-for-profit sector
- Systems navigation – Experience supporting families through complex service systems
