Job Description

This position helps to ensure that the store maintains accurate stock levels, providing our customers with a steady rate of service. Performing stock adjustments, stock returns, and validating received merchandise, this position plays a critical role in making sure that the store is staged, stocked, and ready to serve. 

Qualifications

Employees must possess the ability to perform the following duties:

  • Counting stock and completing inventory counts
  • Running stock checks
  • Investigating stock discrepancies
  • Organizing and managing vendor Credit-notes. Including tagging and staging
  • Managing cull-piles for credit or field destroy
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices
  • Conduct oneself in a manner consistent with Dunn Lumber’s core values
  • Other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully applicants should have competent typing skills, proficiency in general computer operations, and a positive and collaborative attitude.

Additional Information

This is an entry level position with a paid two-week training period and continued learning while employed. The two-week training is completed on site with your supervisor or at a Training Yard with the Training Department. The training for this position will focus on product knowledge, Point of Sale software, and yard operations.

This position is in a yard/retail environment. This position is active and requires employees to be on their feet for most of the shift. The noise level is moderate.
