WE OFFER:

  • Compensation: Competitive salary with bonus potential
  • Work Schedule: Typically, 8 AM – 5 PM EST, with flexibility as needed to meet deadlines or support initiatives across U.S. time zones. Some travel is required, including intermittent and extended overnight trips.

Job Description

As an IDD Services Senior Director, you’ll play a vital role in leading and growing Dungarvin’s services in Indiana. You’ll provide strategic direction and operational oversight while developing leaders, driving business growth, and ensuring high-quality, compliant services for the individuals we support. You’ll build and strengthen relationships with community partners, government agencies, advocacy groups, and other key stakeholders while overseeing financial performance, program development, and operational excellence. In this role, you’ll help expand our impact while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Growth: Develop and implement strategic, programmatic, and fiscal initiatives to drive business growth, operational excellence, and expansion into new markets.
  • Program Quality & Compliance: Oversee the development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of programs and services while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, licensing requirements, and quality standards.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight: Lead budget development, resource allocation, and financial performance management while maintaining accountability for profit and loss (P&L) outcomes.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Hire, coach, mentor, train, and supervise up to six direct reports while fostering professional development, accountability, and staff retention.
  • Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective business partners, government representatives, advocacy groups, trade associations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Performance Management & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators, service metrics, compliance measures, and operational outcomes, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Community & Industry Representation: Represent Dungarvin at community events, legislative meetings, industry forums, and other stakeholder engagement opportunities.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field, such as Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Educational Psychology, Sociology, or Human Services.
  • IDD Industry Experience: 7–8 years of experience in the human services industry, specifically supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • Senior Leadership Experience: 5 years of progressive senior-level management experience.
  • Program Experience: Experience overseeing supportive living, waiver sites, residential group homes, and/or day programs.
  • Financial Management & P&L: Strong financial management and budgeting experience with budgets exceeding $30 million, including personal accountability for profit and loss (P&L).

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Advanced Education: Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Indiana Systems & Medicaid Waivers: Previous experience working with Indiana’s service systems and Medicaid Waiver programs.
  • ICF Experience: Experience overseeing Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs) serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

  • Problem Solving & Accountability: Identifies issues proactively, develops corrective action plans, ensures staff receive proper training, and addresses concerns directly to protect service quality and improve performance.
