Job Description
What You Get To Do:
The Day Program Service Coordinator is a pivotal position in Dungarvin’s programming with an emphasis on the coordination of Day Program Services. These services include recreation, program services, education/vocational programs, and health/safety. The Program Coordinator is responsible to assist the Day Program Director in maintaining consistency in programming, care of the individual served, communication with other team members, and other associated tasks as directed.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Act as a role model for all program staff.
- Complete, process, and file paperwork as assigned by the Day Program Director.
- Attend scheduled meetings, providing input and follow-up as assigned by the Day Program Director.
- Assure transportation of individuals is arranged for all program purposes.
- Coordinate scheduling and individual’s involvement in community activities.
Qualifications
What makes you a great fit:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one-year experience working with individuals with ID/DD is required
- Must be responsible, dependable, and capable of performing job duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess sound decision-making and communication skills; be responsible, professional, and flexible.
- Positive role-model for others and able to work on a team
- Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment
- Computer skills for documentation
- Valid Drivers License (due to transporting persons served)
- Some positions / locations may require own personal vehicle and auto-liability insurance based on the role
- A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
- 18 years or older
- Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
