Schedule: Full-time, schedule varies 

Wage: $17.50/hour

Job Description

Direct Support Professional Float (DSPF) caregiver is a position designed to provide fill in or substitute coverage at any assigned service site and may be scheduled for hours that are vacant due to staff turnover, changes in scheduling or staff paid time off. Work assignments may be during any scheduled hours and at any sites where Dungarvin provides services. A DSP Float provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.  The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.

  • Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.

  • Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.

Qualifications

What Makes You A Great Fit:  

  • At least 2 years of prior experience working with individuals with disabilities 
  • Person-centered, patient, and kind  
  • Dependable, adaptable, flexible  
  • Observant and detail oriented  
  • Positive role-model for others and able to work on a team  
  • Committed to creating a respectful and collaborative environment  
  • Computer skills for documentation  
  • 18 years or older  
  • Successful clearance of a criminal background check for licensing requirement  
  • Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
