Our Administrative Coordinator will support their assigned team by assisting with the approval of timecards and collection of current and new staff training documents that are required of each employee. The Administrative Coordinator will assist with training, following up, and coaching of direct support professionals. This position also performs quality assurance checks at the various locations and is directly involved in conducting assessments, planning and implementing services and supports necessary to ensure a good quality of life. Schedule:  Full-time, Monday - Friday!

Wage:  $18.50/hour

Job Description

What You Get to Do: 

  • Monitor documentation systems in the service site to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
  • Perform quality assurance audits and checks to ensure we are providing quality services to the individuals served.
  • Regularly attend team and weekly meetings to share input and update management staff on activities or events that occurred during shifts.
  • Provide support to the nursing department filing paperwork and other duties as assigned.
  • Monitor staff schedules and approve timecards looking for accuracy.
  • Ensure filing is completed and up to date in new staff training files.
  • Take an active role in the new staff welcoming program assisting the schedulers in completing new staff training.
  • Assist with training employees on individual specific trainings or other trainings as necessary.
  • Report allegations of suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation or other major incidents to program director, area director, or senior director in accordance with policy timeframes.
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with individuals, guardians, family members, case managers, ancillary services, and all other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Read, know, understand, and implement organizational policies and procedures.
  • Respect individual rights and ensure their rights are met. Respect the confidentiality of all individuals served.
  • Act as a role model for all employees while providing training, guidance, and assistance to direct support professionals.
  • To promote positive teamwork and communications with Dungarvin employees, program management and human resources department.
  • To willingly perform other duties as required

Qualifications

What Makes You A Great Fit:

  • Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional
  • A sincere desire to provide service and support to persons with disabilities, and be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions independently without ongoing supervision.
  • Ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities
  • Ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services
  • Ability to assist in maintaining efficient office operations; skills in the areas of financial management and/or scheduling; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
  • Prior education and/or experience in residential services for intellectually disabled persons strongly preferred.
