Schedule: Multiple Schedules/Shifts Available
Wage: $18/hr on weekends ($16/hour during the weekdays/evenings)

Job Description

As a Behavioral Direct Support Professional / caregiver, you'll offer support, guidance, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. Your aim? Empowering them to live independently with dignity and respect. You will have the ability to enhance the quality of life for individuals with complex mental health and behavioral support needs.
What You Get To Do:
- Handle with Care Training - this will ensure your safety and success supporting individuals using a team-based approach that best meet their complex care needs.
- Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
- Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
- Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
- Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
- Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
- Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
- Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
Qualifications
What Makes You A Great Fit:
- Excitement for working with adults with disabilities
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (proof of valid DL is required) due to transporting persons served
- Candidates must be comfortable driving company vehicles to transport persons served as required
- Some positions / locations may require own personal vehicle and auto-liability insurance based on the role
Nice to Have:
- Prefer previous experience working with persons with challenging behaviors
