Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The onboarding specialist is specifically responsible for administrative processes in hiring positions including but not limited to direct support professional positions. The onboarding specialist is responsible to send out hiring documents. The onboarding specialist is responsible to complete criminal background checks and any/all registry check to ensure that all hiring requirements are completed. The onboarding specialist is expected to be knowledgeable in all state and federal laws related to employment practices. This position works collaboratively with other departments to ensure that recruitment efforts and new employee orientations are performed at the highest level of quality.
- Partner with recruitment to ensure a smooth hiring experience for candidates.
- Welcoming new hires with prepared onboarding kits and an office tour.
- Maintain working knowledge of all applicable state and federal employment laws and licensing regulations.
Qualifications
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of general human resources, recruiting interviewing, hiring, onboarding experience.
- Experience with cultivating positive relationships with business partners and employees, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong computer skills, including but not limited to experience with HRIS (ULTIPRO), ATS (SmartRecruiters), EXCEL, THERAP, and Payroll systems (KRONOS ).
- Must be organized, thorough and be able to maintain engagement with new hires before they begin orientation.
