Join Our Team as a Senior Accountant!

Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for precision and a passion for financial excellence? We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead our general accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Production of Final Statement (30%): Oversee and control the production of final financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconciliation (30%): Reconcile bank statements, general ledgers, and journal entries. Maintain balance sheets to ensure financial integrity.
  • Analysis (20%): Review preliminary results and conduct inquiries of financial statements before and after they are finalized. Analyze financial data, reports, and forecasts to provide valuable insights, leveraging strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
  • Audits (10%): Prepare for and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Reporting (10%): Prepare and manage usage tax, sales and use tax, and unclaimed property tax reports to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Advanced Accounting Knowledge: Deep understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), financial reporting, and auditing standards.
  • Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze financial statements and reports, identify trends, and provide insights.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Expertise in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Taxation: Knowledge of tax regulations, preparation of tax returns, and compliance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements affecting financial operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of coaching and mentoring.
  • A commitment to excellence and accuracy in all accounting functions.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Accounting softwareproficiency: within Microsoft Dynamics / GP, PowerBI, Management Reporter, Planful and ERP systems.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF functions, and pivot tables. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
