Dungarvin assists people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, autism and/or mental health diagnosis in a variety of programs with a focus on person centered practices. We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities; behavioral or medical complexities in a residential setting and/or community.

What You Get to Do: 

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
• Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
• Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
• Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
• Document progress, milestones, and action steps.

• Prefer experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

What we look for:

• 18 years or older.
• 21 years or older to work in child foster care homes.
• Prefer experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities. 
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by Dungarvin policy. (Proof of valid DL is required).
• Current auto liability insurance.
• Computer skills for documentation.
• Ability to perform personal cares.
