Job Description

This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and support of residential service delivery including interviewing, hiring, and training staff, maintaining staff schedules, ensuring individual transportation needs are met, and maintaining quality home environments. This position co-leads a caseload of supported individuals (aged 12-21) and homes in collaboration with the Area Director. This position collaborates with the Area Director to ensure staff implementation of the individual treatment/support plans, activities, and daily routines. Also, assists with check in of medications and timely and accurate maintenance of the case management database.

Qualifications

  • Must meet one of the following criteria:
    • A Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of work experience in I/DD 
    • An Associates degree and 2 years of work experience in I/DD
    • No degree and 4+ years’ industry experience supporting adolescents with I/DD
  • Must have 1+ years demonstrated ability to effectively lead/supervise staff in maintaining quality services required.
  • Good driving record, provide proof of current driver's license and insurance.
  • 21 years of age at time of hire.
  • Demonstrated competency with skills and abilities to work successfully with the challenging behaviors of supported individuals in care.
  • Have a working knowledge of federal and state regulations governing the facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Be able to speak, read, and write the English language at a level of proficiency to satisfactorily carry out all of the essential job duties and functions included in this job description.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet the needs of supported individuals. Must work one weekend day or work on a weekend rotation to ensure adequate oversight and support on weekends in conjunction with the Program Supervisor as agreed upon with the Program Manager in order to effectively meet the program needs.
