Job Description

The Development and Intake Coordinator is responsible to assist with the initial development and approval of contracted providers and to facilitate the intake process for incoming individuals for services. This position will support the Area Director as directed.  The Development and Intake Coordinator will work in collaboration with Individual Support Team members including but not limited to operations, case managers, program directors, guardians, individuals served, and behavior consultants to promote timely communication regarding incoming individuals in addition to creating a smooth transition. The Development and Intake Coordinator is responsible to ensure consistency in the provision of supports and services to individuals in service and new contracted providers. The Development and Intake Coordinator works closely with Program Directors and Director, maintain direct communication with Host Home Providers, and outside professional contractors.

 

Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age. Must have a high school diploma or GED and one year working directly in the I/DD field.  

Prior education and/or experience in administrative support duties is preferred.

Must possess a sincere desire to provide service and support to persons with developmental disabilities in conjunction with Nevada regulations and standards. Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions independently without ongoing supervision. 

Must possess all of the following: the ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members and relevant professionals; flexibility in working various days, hours, sites and with various individuals; adaptability to change; ability to assist in maintaining efficient office operations.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, as well as general office technologies.

A person in this position should demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of HIPAA information related to person served as well as be sensitive to issues of diversity.

Additional Information

This position is designated as an Unlimited Driving Position -- defined as one that requires an employee to drive a motor vehicle as a part of his/her Dungarvin work, including vehicles owned or leased by Dungarvin, and/or to drive a vehicle in which a person served is transported. Any employee in this position must comply with the requirements outlined in the POLICY AND PROCEUDRE ON DRIVING AND THE USE OF MOTOR VEHICLES (A-8). All employees in this position must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, as defined by our insurance carrier.  An employee hired for a position that requires the employee to drive his/her own car is responsible for his/her own automobile insurance.  Willingness to use personal vehicle to provide transportation for individuals required.
