Job Description

The purpose of this position is to support the client financial management in accordance compliance with all Federal and State and Company regulations in addition to processing specific financial tasks related to the individuals and organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: 

  • Maintaining and verifying client accounts - coding spreadsheets and maintaining reports
  • Verify household ledgers (grocery, cash, EBT)
  • Processing payments, managing bills and overall lease management for supported individuals 
  • Communicate and ongoing vendor relation management for existing client accounts
  • Timely and professional communication with external Representative Payee's
  • Prepare annual Individual Financial Plans (IFP) for clients
  • Develop monthly reports outlining medical expenses clients accrue and submit to Developmental Disability Association (DDA) Case Managers
  • Develop monthly reports outlining usage of state supplemental funds and submit to DDA Case Resource Managers
  • Ensuring client funds are handled in accordance with Washington Administrative codes (WAC) while ensuring confidentiality of client financial records in accordance with HIPPA
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisor and attend management team meetings as needed.
  • Provide records and other information for internal participant account audits, DDA audits and other external agency audits, including recertification teams

Qualifications

  • 2 years related work experience 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred 
  • Working knowledge of financial, accounting, banking and account reconciliation procedures.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
