Job Description

What You Will Do:

As Program Director, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management of program services in a High Acuity setting. You will focus on achieving valued outcomes for individuals with mental health conditions who are in need of behavioral support. You will work collaboratively with others in the organization to provide high quality services.

As Program Director, you will serve as a positive role model for Dungarvin employees and direct care staff. A successful Program Director will also model appropriate behavior for other team members and direct reports by proactively identifying issues and constructively working to solve problems.

While caseloads can vary and are subject to change, the High Acuity Program Director is typically responsible for overseeing 1-2 program sites, usually with 1-2 residents per home. The High Acuity Program Director will supervise approximately 10-12 Direct Support Professionals per program.

Work Environment and Office Hours:

This position is in-office, providing site supervision for direct care staff. This role involves typical office hours, Monday through Friday, full-time. Additionally, the Program Director must have a flexible schedule with the ability to be on-call when needed (this includes weekends and odd hours).

The starting salary for this position is $57,000 annually, with regularly scheduled pay increases.

This position is eligible for a $3,000 retention/sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

What We Look For:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years managerial/supervisory experience, including hiring, disciplining, and terminating employees, is required
  • At least 1 year of full-time, direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities
  • Must demonstrate good decision-making, time management and communication skills, and be responsible, mature, and flexible
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and implementing financial budgets
  • Must have good decision-making and time-management skills
  • Ability to work successfully with a diverse population of individuals (employees and persons supported)
  • Must be able to effectively provide support, supervision, and positive leadership to assigned Direct Support Professionals
