Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are seeking an energetic and engaging individual to be part of our regional training team for our direct care staff. Our Talent Development Specialist are crucial to the provision of quality services and are responsible for the delivery of specialized staff training, including, but not limited to:

  • Facilitating new employee orientation and annual required trainings on a regional basis
  • Leading virtual  trainings using Zoom,  GoToMeeting, and Teams as well as assisting with technical issues with participating staff
  • Effectively use computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.…)
  • Updating our Learning Management System with completions, classes, and crucial data
  • Monitoring of all training  components: schedules, documentation, and materials
  • Communicating in an ongoing, open, and direct manner with all levels of staff; specifically relating to training requirements and needs
  • Providing support for other trainers, as well as, for organizational and departmental in-service trainings
  • Cooperatively coordinate training services and resources with staff to maximize the benefit to persons served, programs, and staff

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

  • A minimum of two years of experience/education related to teaching, staff training, development of training programs/curricula virtual presentation preferred. 
  • Must demonstrate proficient communication and interpersonal skills, as well as decision-making, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must be willing to travel to conduct necessary training.  
  • Office hours may include general business hours, as well as the need to conduct evening training sessions, as identified.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

The trainer may be required to secure and maintain certification to be a qualified American Red Cross and/or American Heart Society FA / CPR Certified Instructor.  The Trainer will become certified and provide instruction in any additional specialized course materials as identified by management.
