This is an exceptional opportunity for a leader dedicated to the provision of progressive and goal-oriented supports in the community for people with developmental disabilities.  We are seeking a Program Coordinator for a community integration and training day program in Signal Hill, California.

Job Description

The Program Coordinator has a responsibility to coordinate the variety of services including, but not limited to:

  • Assist the Program Director in maintaining consistency in programming
  • Carry out the responsibilities and duties of the Direct Support Professional (DSP) during all direct care shifts when necessary
  • Individual care
  • One-on-one training of staff
  • Communication with staff and interdisciplinary team members at their primary site
  • Individual finances
  • Recreation
  • Program Services
  • Educational/Vocational programs
  • Documenting and follow-up of individual and program related issues such as ISP reports
  • Health care and nutrition
  • Facility management
  • This is a driving position, must have a valid drivers license and drive.

The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in this or a related field, experience working in a day program or vocational setting, preferred.
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, such as intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy.
  • Have basic computer knowledge
  • Able to work Full-Time Monday through Friday 9:30am - 6:30pm
