We are currently seeking a professional, detailed Scheduling Coordinator to work with our Directors and our Direct Care staff in regards to the scheduling needs of our programs. 

Job Description

The Scheduling Coordinator (SC) is responsible for scheduling employee work shifts for licensed and non-licensed programs. This position will support their assigned team by scheduling direct support staff in accordance with the individual plans of care in coordination with program management. Our position has he possibility of being a hybrid role with the potential of working from the office, from home, and also in one of our programs! 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • To utilize software applications to manage employee schedules
  • Develop, maintain and coordinate master employee schedules
  • Fill vacant/open shifts and coordinating schedules fulfil operational staffing needs
  • Maintain a system to manage staff needs associated with holidays, PTO requests, day program closures, and non-scheduled program coverage as needed
  • Communicate regularly with direct support staff regarding shift assignments and schedule needs
  • Drive the scheduling process while working closely with program managers to meet all shift and schedule requirements
  • Keep phone list updated and staff information updated in system
  • Propose solutions for identified issues associated with scheduling
  • Regularly attend team meetings to share input and update management on master schedule accuracy on shift vacancy coverage
  • Provide general administrative support in the office, as assigned
  • Assist with staff training related to scheduling as necessary 
  • Assist in the management of budgeted hours and focusing on the reduction of overtime expense
  • To willingly perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years of age 
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience working with employee schedules
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of years of experience
  • Responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions independently.
