Dungarvin is a national organization of privately owned companies that are dedicated to providing high quality, community-based supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people who are faced with mental health, behavioral or significant medical challenges and to children and their families.

FUN FACT:

In March 1976 our founders (now husband and wife duo) Tim Madden (24 years old) and Diane (23 years old) decided to start a business that would provide community housing for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through diligent research and planning Tim and Diane officially opened their first 15-person residential program in St. Paul, Minnesota, in July 1976. For the next 3 years Tim and Diane were "houseparent’s" who lived on the ground level of the home; sleeping on a mattress on the floor! Through the success of that program Dungarvin has grown to employ approximately 5,000 people who currently provide supports to over 4,700 individuals across 14 states!!

Job Description

  • Provide direction, supervision and oversight for quality improvement departments in an 14 state region of a large human services agency. 
  • Oversee all aspects of quality management for the organization, in order to assure high-quality services  
  • Coordinate and audit systems, processes and products, ensuring compliance with new and existing national and agency quality standards, regulations and accreditation standards 
  • Implement quality management actions and contribute to the development of agency policies and procedures, strategic plan, and other improvement initiatives 
  • Ensure Quality Assurance tools remain current/relevant in order to achieve desired outcomes 
  • Provide data analysis with recommendations and quality oversight to projects from the planning phase to project completion
  • Coordination, training and support for Quality Assurance staff and/or other staff in each Dungarvin state
  • Provide leadership on the development and implementation of policies, systems, and initiatives to promote the concepts, beliefs, and purpose of the program and organization

Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services field (Psychology, Counseling, Allied Health, Educational Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, etc.) 
  • Seven years’ experience in a human service-related field 
  • Five years supervisory level experience in a program providing support services to persons with disabilities  
  • Experience with developing and implementing program policies and procedures, effectively leading teams and coordinating activities across multiple departments 
  • Extensive knowledge of the operational aspects of I/DD services and Person-Centered Planning processes and governing rules and regulations

  • Excellent administrative, organizational, project management, research and writing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the State and federal laws and regulations; is pertinent to the success of the National Director of Quality Assurance.

Chief Operating Officer

HOURS WORKED:

40 hours per week. 

Monday- Friday 8:00AM- 5:00PM (FLEX).  Travel up to 50% of time
