We are adding to our management team and looking for a Community Support Manager in our Madison based office.

A Community Support Manager focuses on achieving valued outcomes for individuals with developmental disabilities, management of employees, and working collaboratively with people inside and outside of the organization providing supported living services. A Community Support Manager should be a role model for Dungarvin employees, by virtue of the manner in which they work with individuals with disabilities and their community support teams.

As a Community Support Manager, you will be responsible for community-based settings supporting persons with disabilities and support needs. Specific duties include:

  • Focusing on achieving personalized goals and accomplishments including maintaining residency in a community by implementing individual and behavior support plans.
  • Managing individual's schedules and programmatic staffing needs.
  • May also have additional responsibilities including coordination of persons served medical needs, etc.

In this role, you will:

  • Work a combination of direct care focused shifts, having availability for both 1st and 2nd shifts.
  • Provide onsite leadership and supervision to staff.
  • Respond to emergent program needs.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call system with other supervisors.
  • Manage household budgets and provide supervision to staff.
  • Provide individualized supports to persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Competitive starting wage of $16.00 per hour!

Qualifications

  • Must have a background in human services or in management (with experience and training that prepares them for working with people with disabilities). 
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in a human service or related field and with at least one year of experience in working with people with developmental disabilities are preferred over other applicants for Community Support Manager positions. 
  • Have experience in managing budgets and in staff supervision is desirable. 
  • Must have good decision-making, time-management, and communication skills. 
  • Must be responsible, mature and flexible.
