Job Description

The Register Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordination and management of the daily operations of the overall services of side by side residential group homes. The two priority areas of responsibility include:

  • Ensuring orientation and ongoing training of staff
  • Ensuring all medical aspects of the program are developed, implemented, coordinated, and monitored to the highest degree possible.

The Register Nurse Supervisor is responsible to assure the individuals are receiving quality health care management within the prevailing standards or current practice of community-based health care.

The Register Nurse Supervisor, when authorized to provide nursing services as part of the service delivery team for a person with disabilities, is responsible to assure the individual receives quality health care management within the prevailing standards or current practice of community-based health care. The Register Nurse Supervisor initiates and maintains continuation of the nursing process for each individual authorized to receive nursing services. 

Qualifications

  • The Register Nurse Supervisor must be a registered nurse with a current license to practice nursing in the state of Minnesota.

  • The person must be responsible, mature, flexible, self-motivated and able to work cooperatively with staff, support team members and outside agencies.

  • Prior experience in developing and implementing plans of care is desired. 

  • Must have good decision-making, time management, communication skills and be responsible, mature and flexible.

  • Experience in residential services and supervision is preferred.

  • Completion and clearance of background study, completed through the MN Department of Human Services

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

  • Current auto liability insurance
