Job Description

The DSP Coordinator is responsible to assist program management in the provision of supports and services to the individuals, and in communicating with staff and team members.  This position will support their team by assisting with arranging transportation of individuals, answering phones, ensuring filing is complete and up to date in individual or program files, and providing customer service in a professional and courteous manner. This position will be expected to provide direct care supports to individuals as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age.  High school diploma/GED equivalent required.  Position prefers 3-4 years of experience working with persons who have developmental or intellectual disabilities. Working knowledge of basic computer systems including word and excel. 

A person in this position must possess a sincere desire to provide service and support to persons with disabilities, and be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions independently without ongoing supervision.  Also must possess all of the following: the ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services; ability to assist in maintaining efficient office operations; skills in the areas of financial management and/or scheduling; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
