Dungarvin is a national organization of privately-owned companies under common ownership and management, which provide community-based services for people with developmental and intellectual disabili­ties and related needs in Indiana, Ohio, Connecticut, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, California, Minnesota, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina and Kentucky.  Founded in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1975, Dungarvin provides a variety of individually tailored services and supports under the Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver.  We also provide day services, supported employment, case management, supported foster care, children's services, respite care, and supports for traumatic brain injury services in several states.  Dungarvin provides quality services that are flexible and responsive to individual needs and choices, while maintaining the fiscal integrity that ensures the long-term stability and security every person expects and deserves.

Job Description

To provide administrative, management, and programmatic support throughout the region, in order to assist in the assurance of high quality services, facilitate business growth, foster consistent and productive management practices, and develop efficient, cost effective business systems.

Some general areas of responsibility are:

1.    Provide support in the set-up and stabilization of new services.

2.    Assist in marketing Dungarvin’s services as assigned by the regional director.

3.    Assist in quality assessment, intervention and enhancement of services and supports.

4.    Assist in quality assessment, intervention and enhancement of services and supports.

5.   Provide interim support for vacant upper management positions.

6.   Facilitate timely responsiveness to business opportunities and unanticipated organizational challenges by remaining available to take on new assignments, shift current assignments, and travel.

7.   Act as a role model for the organization’s values, mission, and philosophy.

The regional special project director’s schedule must be flexible in order to provide timely support as needs arise. Usual hours are business hours Monday through Friday.  Position requires intermittent and extended overnight travel. Position is on-call to the regional director.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a human service or related area. Prior experience in managing and supervising services for persons with developmental disabilities, and project management is required.

Must have proven decision-making, communication, and project management skills; must be independent, responsible, mature, and flexible. 

Residing within the region is preferred.  (Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio)
