Company Description

Dungarvin, a national provider of services to people with developmental disabilities, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN), to support the continuous enrichment of individuals with developmental disabilities in our ADULT RESIDENTIAL FACILITY FOR PERSONS WITH SPECIAL HEALTH CARE NEEDS in Los Angeles, CA.

We believe each person has his or her own set of aspirations, goals, strengths, and dreams. In our program/home, we strive to provide each person the education, assistance, role modeling, supervision and encouragement they need to develop interests, skills and abilities and their independence.

The people we serve are referred to us by the Westside Regional Center and Harbor Regional Center, nonprofit private corporations that contracts with the State of California Department of Developmental Services to provide or coordinate services, supports, and appropriate living arrangements for people with developmental disabilities.

Job Description

The RN will ensure that each individual receives quality, individualized health care management, resulting in their optimal health. The RN will act as a health/medical resource for staff and to ensure that the company is in compliance with state requirements and organizational policies regarding medical care and records. The RN will be responsible to the Program Director (Administrator).  Full time, part time and all shifts available!

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The Registered Nurse should hold the minimum requirement to practice nursing in the State of California. The individual must be skilled, flexible, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work cooperatively with staff, interdisciplinary team members, and outside agencies. Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities is preferred.  

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

•Current valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving history (and ability to obtain a California license within 30 days of hire if you currently posess an out-of-state license)

•Fingerprint clearance by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) - paid for by Dungarvin

•Physician’s clearance and a TB test clearance - paid for by Dungarvin

•Two Professional references

•The RN must be able to pass a background check by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and follow policies and procedures of the Company related to mandated reporting and confidentiality.
