The House Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of 2 community living arrangements for adults with developmental disabilities. The primary areas of responsibility include personnel management and program coordination. Hiring the highest quality of staff and assuring their complete orientation and ongoing training. Assuring all aspects of the program are developed, implemented, coordinated, and monitored to the highest degree possible is the other major responsibility of this position.
The House Manager is also responsible for assuring coordination and management of the overall household operations, medical, financial and maintenance aspects of the home. The Program Manager has the responsibility to coordinate and ensure the following services including but not limited to: program implementation and continuity, individual community involvement/integration, health/nutrition, family involvement, individual finances and educational/vocational programs. The Program Manager also acts as a primary role model for staff, providing supervision, structure, guidance, feedback, and training.
Two-year degree in related social services field and/or two years of experience in social services field. Experience working in the field of developmental disabilities and supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to carry out duties without direct supervision. Must be responsible, flexible and possess good decision-making, time management and communication skills.
This position requires the use of computer software applications. It is expected that by the end of the orientation period the employee will have achieved sufficient competency in these applications to satisfactorily perform all job duties as assessed by their supervisor. Required software applications for this position include, but are not limited to; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
