FUN FACT:

Our founders Tim and Diane Madden opened the first Dungarvin program serving 15 people in St. Paul, Minnesota, in March 1976. Tim and Diane were the live-ins for that first program and they have continued their leadership of the organization since. Through the success of that program Dungarvin has grown to employ approximately 4,000 people who currently provide supports to over 4,000 individuals across 14 states.

Job Description

The Recruiter works closely with operations partners to fill open positions, and manages a full workload of open requisitions. The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for the full life cycle of recruitment, including coordination of activities and building relationships.

What You Will Do:
You will have the ultimate responsibility of properly identifying and attracting top notch direct support professionals for our programs in the Oklahoma City and surrounding areas.  You will be the face of Dungarvin who will provide an excellent candidate experience coupled with the ability to discern the motivation of potential employees who choose to assist our persons served as providers of personal care.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the recruiting, screening, and hiring of direct support professionals.
  • Execute sourcing and selection processes for hourly workforce needs including: job posting, screening, interviewing, selection, correspondence, coordinating offers, and finalizing the hiring process working closely with our HR team and your Operations Partners.
  • Build a continuous candidate pipeline and create leads through various creative sourcing methods.
  • Recruit active and passive candidates while possessing the mentality to gauge chemistry of candidates for culture fit and understanding their motivation for the role.
  • Ability to convey core values and promote our image/brand to prospective employees

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is highly self-motivated and has proven success with high-volume recruitment!

MUST HAVE:

  • High school diploma/GED is required 
  • Two (2) years of recruiting experience. 
  • Experience sourcing, interviewing, and hiring hourly workforces with preference given to those in social services sector. (Retail, Manufacturing, etc.)
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience working with individuals who have disabilities preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, as well as time management and organizational skills. 
  • Experience in recruiting within the personal cares/home care/group home industry.
  • Experience in full cycle recruiting and using applicant tracking systems (ATS).

SKILLS KEY TO SUCCESS:

  • Ability to provide an exciting and positive candidate experience as well as Hiring Manager experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and drive efficient and effective candidate generation strategies (sourcing) beyond traditional recruitment (strong passive recruitment & pipelining of candidates)
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure; commitment to results and solution oriented
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of attracting and engaging talent virtually.
  • You should be self-motivated and driven – strives to deliver great results and drive continuous improvement in process and workflow.
  • You should be flexible and adaptable; and thrive in a changing and/or fast paced environment.

Additional Information

HOURS WORKED

 Full time; usually during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm CST. There is some flexibility with schedule needs. Position may occasionally require some evening and weekend hours.  Occasional overnight travel expected. Schedule must be flexible to accommodate various personnel and organizational needs. The ideal candidate will live in the timezone that they work or one timezone over.
