FUN FACT:

Our founders (Husband and wife duo) Tim and Diane Madden opened the first Dungarvin program, an ICF/MR serving 15 people, in St. Paul, Minnesota, in March 1976. Tim and Diane were the live-in “houseparent’s” for that first program. Through the success of that program Dungarvin has grown to employ approximately 4,000 people who currently provide supports to over 4,000 individuals across 14 states.

Job Description

Our robust Human Resources team seeks additional team player who can bring an energetic, strategic, influential, creative and forward-thinking personality to the table. This is the perfect role for an HR professional who loves to build and maintain strong working relationship with operations, management and staff. 

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for fulfilling a variety of HR functions under the direction of the HR Operations Director. These functions include employee relations, data entry/maintenance of information in the HR Information system, responding to inquiries from payroll regarding payroll processing, carrying out employee recruitment functions and strategies, administering group benefit programs, managing worker’s compensation claims, providing new hire HR orientation and maintaining / disseminating accurate Conditions or Contract and Conditions of Employment reports.

The Generalist will also have the opportunity to impact employee retention through participation in recognition programs and through participation in implementing annual HR Initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree coupled with three year of general human resources experience OR a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED coupled with five years of general human resources experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills- specifically Excel.
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Experience working within an HRIS System and ATS System. Preference: Ultipro or SmartRecruiters
  • Ability to do some travel within the state of Colorado is required, primarily between Denver and Colorado Springs.

GOT THESE? EVEN BETTER:

  • Experience working within Social Services Sector OR experience working with developmentally disabled populations. 
  • Experience sourcing, interviewing, and hiring hourly workforce's.
