Job Description

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

To maintain and disseminate information using the human resources/payroll/HRIS information system, establish and maintain files within the Human Resources (HR) department in an organized and secure fashion.Ensure clear and effective communication with Dungarvin supervisors and employees as required, as well as ensure that all employee information is current and accurate prior to processing payroll each pay period. Complete all data entry for the state of CA pertaining to employee information and benefits. Responsible for all leave administration pertaining to LOA requests and Workers Compensation. Update and assists with policy and training modifications when requested.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN A NUT SHELL:

  • Create, Modify and Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; conducts new-employee orientations; and writes and places advertisements.
  • Handles all employee records, conditions of employment and training requirements for new and existing employees.
  • Partner with Regional Centers to obtain and learn what regulations, and requirements we must up hold for future employees when adding to our 
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes. Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics. Create process flow improvements

Qualifications

Prefer a candidate with Bachelors degree and three years of general human resources experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience), excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong computer skills, including experience with HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite.

SKILLS CRUCIAL TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:

  • Successful track record of full-life cycle recruitment while increasing process efficiency and taking ownership.

  • Desire to learn social services field- regional centers have mandatory requirements for conditions of employment. Knowledge will assist in recruiting efforts and will alter candidate pools and screening requirements.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
  • Organized and efficient in daily tasks
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

California team seeks generalist who is Forward thinking, Results driven, Independent, and Analytical that is ready to cultivate a new vision for the state in partnership with the HR Director. Team consists of one peer and one supervisor, and 3 Field operations counter-partners. The Team in partnership with HQ is going through many exciting changes such as: developing and implementing the latest HR systems. This person with plays a hands on roll in new initiatives, Process and procedure development, special projects and has a laundry list of to do's. This person will be given much ambiguity to cultivate and develop the HR department in California how they see fit! This is a role that brings much variety and lacks boredom!!!

HOURS:

  • Traditionally hours are anywhere: 7AM- 6PM  (Flex hours) Monday through Friday.
  • Schedule will need to be flexible to accommodate administrative deadlines, career fairs and projects on occasion.
