Job Description

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist maintains and disseminates information using the human resources, payroll and HRIS system. Ensures clear and effective communication with Dungarvin supervisors and employees as required, as well as ensuring all employee information is current and accurate. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN A NUT SHELL:

  • Create, Modify and Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assist in conducting recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; conducts new-employee orientations; and writes and places advertisements.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Handles all employee records, conditions of employment and training requirements for new and existing employees, completing all HR data entry pertaining to employee information and benefits.
  • Responsible for all leave administration pertaining to LOA requests and Workers Compensation.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed

Qualifications

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelors degree and three years of general human resources experience (or equivalent combination of education and work experience) 
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience researching recruitment resources, cultivating positive relationships with external contacts and developing recruitment plans.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including but not limited to experience with HRIS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Therap, job boards (internal and external) and  social networking applications for recruitment purposes.
