Job Description

Dungarvin, a national provider of services to individuals with developmental disabilities, is seeking a part-time Nurse to help support the continuous enrichment and development of individuals with developmental disabilities and their support staff in Indianapolis, IN.

With this specific position being part-time in Indianapolis, the emphasis will be to lead, organize, and facilitate Medication Administration trainings to newly-hired Direct Support Professional staff as well as conduct refresher trainings to current staff before they expire to remain in compliance with agency and state policies and protocols. This position is part-time and will require some flexibility with scheduling. This would be ideal for a nurse that is seeking to supplement their income or gain additional experience in the human services field or for candidates that still possess a valid Nursing license that may be retired. 

Qualifications

Candidates must be licensed to practice nursing in the state of Indiana and have a minimum of LPN licensure. Minimum of two (2) years education and experience working with individuals with disabilities or other long-term care is preferred. The ideal candidate must be professional, flexible, self-motivated, dependable, and able to work cooperatively with staff, interdisciplinary team members, and outside agencies and be comfortable with speaking in front of groups.
