POSITIONS: A Full-Time Program Coordinator position is available. This position is a Monday thru Friday position

Job duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating the variety of services including: recreation, program services, education programs, health care/nutrition, and facility management. The program coordinator is responsible to assist in maintaining consistency in programming, individual care, and communication with staff and interdisciplinary team members at their primary site and all other Dungarvin locations as assigned. The program coordinator is also responsible to carry out the responsibilities and duties of the direct support professional during all direct care shifts when necessary.

Dungarvin offers starting wages of $14.80 per hour.

Employees are paid for time spent in training and professional development. Training includes, but is not limited to CPR, First Aid, Lifting and Transferring, OSHA, HIPAA, Abuse/Neglect, Defensive Driving, Workplace Safety, Individual Rights and Food Safety, and Mandt.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: • Current valid drivers license and an acceptable driving history (driver’s license check is paid for by Dungarvin) • Fingerprint clearance by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) (paid for by Dungarvin) • Physician’s clearance and a TB test clearance (paid for by Dungarvin) • High School diploma or GED • Three professional references (non-family)

Qualifications

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Employees must have a sincere desire to support individuals with developmental disabilities, such as intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy. We expect our employees to embrace and adhere to the mission of respecting and responding to the choices of people with developmental disabilities. 2-years prior experience in this (or related) field is preferred. Employees must: • Be at least 18 years of age • Have basic computer knowledge • Have the physical ability to lift over 50 lbs frequently, and over 100 lbs occasionally • Have the ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities • Have a strong understanding of integration and person centered planning • Have the ability to receive instruction and implement policies and procedures as trained • With training, recognize physical changes of the individuals served, communicate with others, and respond accordingly
